My training was provided by Nicola Russell who introduced the Dermaplaning treatment from the USA to the United Kingdom. Nicola is the owner of Dermaplane Pro UK and the most highly qualified, accredited and recognised training professional throughout the industry.
The type of clients having this done are typically (but not exclusively) 35+, looking for skin rejuvenation, looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars or having more advanced treatments carried out after it such as face peels or for those clients who want an airbrushed look.
Because of the removal of dead skin and hair, the skin will completely absorb any skincare you apply to it....making treatments more effective and work harder in the skin to increase results.
The trend just now is that salons across the world that offer this treatment are using it to replace microdermabrasion.
Ideally....like everything having a course these will give the best results. Most people get dermaplaning done every 4 weeks. You cannot have it done any sooner than this.
It is physiologically impossible for the fine vellus hair to grow back thicker or darker after this treatment
I incorporate a light peel, LED red light therapy (to calm any inflammation in the skin and to improve the microcirculation of the skin) and clients leave with a superb sheet face mask (RRP £20) which is packed full of skin hydrators.
